Why Is Restorative Care Important?

If you have a damaged or missing tooth, restorative care is important for restoring your oral health, as well as the natural functionality of your bite. These kinds of oral health issues can cause a lot of pain and discomfort, and interfere with your ability to eat and speak normally, or to smile with confidence.

In addition, getting treatment early helps you avoid further complications. In most cases, the sooner you get restorative care, the less time and money you’ll have to spend restoring damaged or missing teeth in the future.

Restorative Care for Damaged Teeth

Some of the most common procedures for repairing damaged teeth at our Aubrey office include fillings, crowns, and root canal therapy.

Composite Fillings

We use tooth-colored dental fillings to restore decayed teeth, improve your appearance, and prevent further decay, ensuring you can smile brightly for years to come.

Crowns & Bridges

Lab-made porcelain crowns are ideal for restoring severely decayed or damaged teeth. They cover up and protect all of your remaining tooth structure, keeping your tooth healthy and restoring your smile and bite. Dental bridges are closely related to crowns. They use two crowns to suspend one or more false teeth to fill up gaps between your teeth and restore your smile.

Root Canal Therapy

Root Canal Therapy involves removing tooth decay and flushing out infected tissue from the canal space of the tooth. This treatment immediately relieves excruciating pain that can be caused by advanced tooth decay or oral trauma.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are small medical-grade Titanium metal rods or posts that are surgically implanted into the jaw bone  functioning as artificial “roots.” Titanium is biocompatible, meaning it will actually fuse with your living bone. After an implant is placed, An implant restoration such as a crown or a set of dentures is attached to the implant, restoring form , function, and your smile.

Implants have a 30+ year lifespan, look and feel completely natural, and require minimal maintenance. They also support the health of your jaw bone, unlike other treatments like dentures and bridges. This is because your natural bone will bond with the implant, stimulating the jaw bone and preventing resorption.

At our office, we handle the entire implant placement and restoration procedure, as well as routine implant maintenance after your procedure is complete.

We offer single-tooth implants using dental crowns and implant-retained dentures, which are usually used to restore a full arch of missing teeth. Contact us now to learn more and schedule your appointment at our Aubrey dental office today.

Full & Partial Dentures

We offer both full and partial dentures at 1385 Dental Studio. Learn more about both treatments for restoring missing teeth below.

Full Dentures

Full dentures consist of a full set of upper and/or lower teeth placed in an acrylic base. This base fits closely over your gums, holding your teeth in place. This treatment is ideal for completely edentulous patients or when all remaining teeth need to be extracted due to advanced dental disease.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures can be used to replace one or several missing teeth. They snap onto your remaining healthy teeth using special attachments, and consist of multiple teeth in a metal and acrylic framework. They are a low-cost alternative to other treatments like bridges and dental implants.
